Juan´s 7th Birthday Party

Juan turned 7 years old this Sunday and we celebrated with cake and jello, gifts, and a Sponge Bob piñata. He smiled through the whole thing and really seemed to enoy himself.

Craft Time

We take the saying "kids prefer to play with the box" seriously! We save all of our cereal boxes, plastic bottles, basically anything re-usable and let the kids make whatever they want with them. It´s great to watch toilet rolls turn into binoculars and egg cartons transform into space ships!

9 Kids!

We now have 9 kids in the Home! From youngest to oldest we have Victor (1), Katia (2), Elizabeth (4), Cristofer (4), José (5), Juan (6), Julio (8), Toño (9), and Miguel (11). Toño and Miguel are the newest children and are the older brothers of Katia, José, and Juan.

Barber Shop

Jossie is our resident hair stylist/barber. She is so patient with the kids, most of whom don´t like to have their hair cut. Afterwards, though, they show off thier new do as if it had been thier idea all along!

Three New Children to Love

Last week we were brought three new children, this time from a nearby town. They are in need of lots of love and security, but we have seen in a few days that they have already settled in well and are happy here. Juan, who is 6, started school today, and José (5) and Katia (2) love playing in the play room and in our big yard. The other children in the home are happy to have more playmates. We will soon be looking for sponsors for these children.
