Sponsor a Child

We invite you to partner with us in caring for one of our dear children. Our child sponsorship program is a wonderful way of reaching out to an underprivileged child and showing him or her your love. You can become a sponsor for as little as $25 dollars a month. Your donation of $25, $50, $75, or $100 dollars will provide food, clothing, shelter, education, and medical care for one of these children, and your prayers and letters will uplift and encourage that child. You can even visit your sponsored child!

If you are interested in sponsoring a child please write a comment below in the "comments" area stating which child you would like to sponsor and for what monthly amount.  Also add your email address, full name, and where you are from.  Please note that all comments posted on this website are previewed by the directors before being published for public viewing and NO comments posted on this "sponsorship" page are published.  Your personal information is only seen by the Children`s Home directors.  If you prefer, you can send the above information directly to the Cooke`s email address: cooke_penielsm@hotmail.com.

If you are not interested in being a monthly child sponsor, you still have the opportunity to give towards the care of these precious children. You can choose to give to our Childcare Fund with a one-time gift of any amount.

Children Needing Sponsors:
Katia Ocampo Jimenez
Katia is 4 years old and was brought to us in January of 2010. She loves being held and hugged and has a beautiful smile. She comes from a very poor family and has suffered much neglect but is responding well to consistency and love. Katia´s favorite activities are playing with the other children and eating! she is in second year of pre-school and enjoys going to school every day.

Juan Ocampo Jimenez
Juan is 9 years old and is Katia´s older brother. He also loves hugs and gives them out freely. He is in 1st grade at the Special Education school and loves attending school. He has slight mental retardation, but that mainly effects his ability to learn academically and the way he controls his emotions.  Juan likes to play games and run around outside and especially enjoys going to the local playground. We see him as a very moldable child and look forward to seeing him grow and change in the coming months.

Gabriela Guadalupe Ocampo Jimenez

Gabriela is our youngest child.  She is 3 years old and was brought to us in June of 2010.  Gaby is very sweet and content and rarely cries or gets upset. She came from a very poor family situation and was very behind in her development, but over the time she has been with us has learned to walk, play, eat by herself, and say many words, both in English and in Spanish.  Gaby loves playing with all of the older children in the Home and makes everyone laugh with her silliness.

Miguel Ocampo Jimenez
Miguel is 14 years old and is the oldest child in the Home.  He came to us in January of 2010.  He has a very sweet personality and is very easy to get along with.  Miguel was unschooled before he came to us but has since learned to read and write, and is working hard on addition, subtraction, and multiplication.  He loves school and wants to learn all he can.   He attends the Special Education school while he gets caught up on academics. He enjoys playing computer games and is always willing to help the men with odd jobs.

Antonio Ocampo Jimenez

Antonio is 12 years old and came to us from a very poor family. He was malnourished and unschooled, but over the time he has been with us he has grown both physically and mentally and is catching up to his peers. He is a very capable artist and sees things in a different way to most people. Toño has a strong love for God and a desire to please Him. He is our little prayer warrior.

José Alfredo Ocampo Jimenez
José Alfredo is 8 years old and in second grade. He came to us from a very poor family situation in January of 2010. José is a very lively child with a gleam of mischief in his eye, but he has a loving, caring side to him too and is a great helper around the house. José has some learning difficulties and emotional problems but we have already seen God do great things in his life and know that in time all will be made right.
