A few changes are happening at the Children´s Home and we want you, our supporters, to be informed about them. Please feel free to get in touch with us if you have any questions.
For three years now the Ramey family from Zanesville, Ohio has been serving as missionaries in San Marcos, helping construct the Children´s Home building for the first year and as the house parents in the Home once we began to receive children. They believe that their time in San Marcos is coming to a close and have made the decision to move back to the States on September 26th. William and I as directors are supportive of this decision and wish them all the best as they transition back into American life and seek God´s will for the future.
William and I will be taking on the ministry of house parents as well as continuing to direct the Home and pastor the Peniel church. We believe that our close relationship with the children will be the bridge between the Rameys and the next house parents that God brings our way and will help the children through all the changes.
With the Rameys leaving, we will also be changing the routing of the money that is given from the U.S.A. to the Home. Many of you have been giving faithfully through Good Measure International and we thank you for that but are now asking you to please send support money to the following address:
Clover Pass Community Church, 105 N PT Higgins Rd., Ketchikan, AK 99901
Checks should be made out to Clover Pass Community Church and then FOMF Children´s Home written in the memo. If you specifically sponsor a child please also specify on a separate note which child you sponsor. Clover Pass is our sending church and is very faithful in forwarding us any money given to the Children´s Home in a timely manner. At this time the church does not have a direct online option for giving, so checks or pay pal are the options available until further notice. Clover Pass will send you a tax-deductable receipt for your gift.
We want to take a moment to thank Good Measure for their ministry in passing money through to the Home over the past few years (and for getting our website up and running.) Their ministry has assisted greatly in making the Home a reality and in keeping it running. We pray that God blesses them as they continue to bless others.
Someone once said that change is the only constant in life, and in missionary life change is always right around the corner. We are confident, though, that the ministry that God has given us in caring for these wonderful children will carry on with the success and excellence that it is known for. Please contiune to support the Children´s Home with your prayers and financial gifts and together we will continue to see great things happen in this ministry.
With love and gratitude,
William and Katie Cooke, Directors
